Speaker: Michael Hayward
Michael Hayward is pleased to present “Portrait Photography for the Bird, Flower, and Landscape Photographer” to the Beaches Photography Club. For beginning portraitists, Hayward will offer simple, repeatable strategies to approach the shoot with confidence, put your subjects at ease, and capture them at their best. For the more experienced photographer, he will deliver tips on posing, lighting, and handling challenging situations
Biography:
Michael Hayward has been trying to take better pictures for about 20 years. He enjoys portrait, wildlife, and travel photography.
Michael is the President of The Saint Augustine Camera Club and a member of the Beaches Photography Club. He is also a member of the Florida Camera Club Council, which has awarded him eight competition ribbons over the last two years.
Hayward’s images have been Published in The St. Augustine Record and HEAL Magazine (two covers). He was the featured photographer for the “St. Johns Reads” brochure in 2019.
Online, Michael is a Moderator for the “Featured Wildlife” Instagram Feed (over 400,000 followers), and the “Nikon 1 Enthusiasts” Facebook Group.
Michael has displayed his work at The St. Augustine Art Association as a member of The Saint Augustine Camera Club and in solo exhibitions at the Bartram Trail Library; Jacksonville Beaches Library; Main Library, and Ponte Vedra Beach Library..
Hayward has helped shoot Community Hospice's Therapy Dog Calendar for the last three years and volunteers for the Duval and St John’s County library systems, for The St John’s County Sheriff’s Office, and for Pink Up the Pace.
His presentation is entitled: “Portrait Photography for the Bird, Flower, and Landscape Photographer.” His goal is to give you 10 tips on how to do a great job for your family and friends the next time they ask you to take their pictures.
