Description: While our eyes, our cameras, and even our phones see and record the world in color there is still a place for monochromatic renderings in contemporary photography. Bill will his share his reasons for choosing black and white for some situations and his strategies for processing those photos.

Bio: Bill McSherry has had a lifelong interest in photography. Upon retiring in 2013 from the University of North Florida after a successful career in information technology he decided to spend significant time studying and pursuing various types of photography. His self-directed studies were reinforced and greatly enhanced by enrolling in Daytona State College’s Photography program in 2015. What he learned about light, composition and other design elements has been invaluable in advancing his craft. His photography has been published in print, won competitions and been featured in exhibitions. Most recently, a collection of his architectural photos have been on display at the Southeast Museum of Photography in Daytona Beach, Florida
